Santa Takes Requests Via Internet
In an effort to simplify lives this year,
Santa Claus has created an online mailbox and gift request center so children of all ages can submit their holiday wishes online. Located on the web's largest social shopping community, Kaboodle.com, Santa's profile page (http://www.kaboodle.com/santa) leverages the website's social shopping and list-making functionality so that people wishing to write him can send him a private or public letter, wish list, or both. They can also "friend" him, share their lists with friends and family, and browse public letters and lists from others. The initiative also saves paper and postage, echoing Santa's desire to spread financial- and eco-consciousness along with cheer this year.
Santa's reason for choosing Kaboodle as his online hub is simple: "Kaboodle allows people who submit their wish list to me to include anything they want from literally anywhere online. All they have to do is download the 'Add to Kaboodle' button and click it anytime they see something they want to add to their list. It's also a place to share good wishes and connect with others. And we all need more of that," Santa commented earlier this week.
Not only will Santa Claus see contributors' wish lists when they share it with him on Kaboodle, but also kids can send their parents a simple, streamlined version as well.
When alerted in Sunnyvale, California, Manish Chandra, founder and CEO of Kaboodle commented, "We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Claus to our community. I added him as a friend yesterday and can't wait to send my wish list his way!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Strida folding bike!" In honor of Santa's arrival, Chandra also pledged that in the spirit of giving Kaboodleplans to lighten his load by randomly awarding a selection of Kaboodlers an early holiday gift from the wish lists they share with Santa.
